Horimarketing

A boutique marketing studio.

Marketing, done properly.

Horimarketing is a small studio run by Artur Horimoto. We take on a few clients at a time and help them work out what to say, look the part, and bring in the right customers. Good design, clear writing, and AI where it genuinely helps.

Hori is the Japanese word for a moat. It's where the name comes from, and a fair description of the job: build something solid around a business so it's protected and has room to grow.

Where we stand

Most marketing advice comes down to post more, spend more, shout louder. We don't think that's the answer.

Most businesses we meet don't need more noise. They need to be clearer about what they offer, look like they mean it, and follow up properly with the people who get in touch. That's the work we do, and we do it for a few clients at a time so it gets done well.

A few clients at a time

So each one gets proper attention rather than a slot in a queue.

No handoffs

The person you talk to at the start is the person doing the work.

AI where it helps

We use it to save time on the repetitive parts, not to replace the thinking.

Services

What we do.

Most engagements combine a few of these. If you're not sure what you need, that's fine. Tell us what's going on and we'll suggest where to start.

  1. 01

    Brand & Positioning

    Working out what to say.

Before we design or publish anything, we get clear on what your business does best, who it's for, and why someone should choose you. It sounds obvious. Most businesses have never written it down.

    • Positioning and messaging
    • Identity design, new or refreshed
    • Tone of voice
    • Simple brand guidelines
  2. 02

    Websites

A site that does its job.

We design and build websites that are quick, easy to update, and clear about what you do and how to get in touch. Then we make sure people can find them.

    • Design and build
    • Copy and photography direction
    • Search (SEO) foundations
    • Hosting, updates and care
  3. 03

    Content

    Things worth reading.

Emails, articles, social posts and campaigns, written in your voice and planned ahead so you're not scrambling every week. We'd rather publish less and have it be good.

    • Content planning
    • Articles and copywriting
    • Social media
    • Email newsletters and campaigns
  4. 04

    Growth

    Bringing in customers.

Paid ads, search and email programmes, run carefully and reported plainly. You'll always know what's being spent, what it's bringing back, and what we'd change.

    • Google and social ads
    • Email and CRM setup
    • Analytics and reporting
    • Landing pages and conversion
  5. 05

    AI Systems

    Useful automation, not gimmicks.

Practical AI-powered tools for your business: automated follow-up for enquiries, content workflows, assistants trained on your own material, and reports that put themselves together. Only where they save real time.

    • Automated enquiry follow-up
    • Content workflows
    • Assistants trained on your material

Not sure what you need? Most people aren't when they first write. Tell us what's going on and we'll take it from there.

How it works

Nothing clever. Just a sensible order.

The same four steps whether it's a website, a rebrand or an ongoing retainer.

  1. 01

    Talk

It starts with a conversation, not a proposal. What the business does, what you've tried, what's working and what isn't, and what you'd like to happen next.

  2. 02

    Plan

You get a short written plan in plain English: what we'll do, in what order, what it costs, and how we'll know it's working.

  3. 03

    Make

We do the work. Design, writing, build, setup. A small team with no handoffs, and you see things as they take shape rather than at a big reveal.

  4. 04

    Keep improving

Once it's live we look at what's actually happening, fix what isn't working, and keep things tidy. Marketing isn't finished when it launches.

AI

AI, where it actually helps.

We use AI every day, for research, first drafts, automating repetitive steps and pulling reports together. It's good at the tedious parts. It doesn't know your business or your customers, so a person always decides what goes out. We also build AI tools for clients when there's a real time saving to be had.

01

Content workflows

Research, first drafts and repurposing, set up so publishing regularly doesn't eat your week. A person edits everything before it goes out.

02

Enquiry follow-up

New enquiries acknowledged, answered and sent to the right place, so nobody waits days for a reply because you were busy.

03

Assistants

Private assistants trained on your own documents, for your team or your customers. They answer the common questions and hand over when they can't.

04

Reporting

The numbers pulled together into a short monthly note: what changed, why, and what we'd suggest doing about it.

The name

Why a moat.

Hori (堀) is the Japanese word for a moat. It turned out to be a decent way to describe the job: build something solid around a business so it's protected, and give it room to grow.

That's the kind of marketing we try to do. Less about being loud, more about getting the fundamentals right: what you say, how you look, and how you follow up. Most other things get easier from there.

The studio is deliberately small. You'll always know who's doing your work, and everything we make for you is yours to keep.

Working together

Three ways to work with us.

We don't sell packages. We quote for the actual work after a first conversation, and we're upfront about what things cost.

Project

For a defined piece of work.

A new website, a rebrand, a launch, an AI tool. Clear scope, a fixed price, and dates we agree on before anything starts.

  • Written scope and plan
  • One team from start to finish
  • Fixed price agreed up front

Retainer

For businesses that want ongoing help.

We look after your marketing month to month: planning, making and improving things across the areas above, with a regular catch-up rather than a ticket queue.

  • Monthly plan and priorities
  • Design, writing, build and setup
  • A short, plain monthly report

Advisory

For people who'd rather do it themselves.

Regular sessions with the studio to plan, review work in progress and decide what to do next. Our thinking, your hands.

  • Regular working sessions
  • Feedback on work in progress
  • Email access between sessions

What clients say

Questions

Things people usually ask.

  • Mostly owner-run businesses: local firms, professional practices, and small companies that are growing. Size matters less than wanting to do things properly and being willing to give good work time to pay off.
